FAQs
Where do the products come from?
We only use highly respected industry suppliers, whose reputation is matched by that of Brewfitt. As a family business we are small enough to care, and large enough to deliver.
Is VAT included in the price?
All prices on our product pages exclude VAT, but this will be shown clearly when you reach the 'Checkout' section.
When should I expect my order to be delivered?
Brewfitt Ltd strives to offer the best standard of delivery service in the industry. Delivery will take place within 3-5 working days from receipt of order (when placed before 12 noon).
Our delivery crews will ensure that your product is delivered, positioned correctly and that the packaging materials are disposed of in a responsible manner.
Also, if your order is particularly urgent, please call our Sales Department on +44(0)1484 340800 and we will do our best to process your order as soon as possible. Please note we cannot guarantee specific delivery services as we rely on third party suppliers. Deliveries will be supplied with an invoice detailing all prices and products.
Who delivers to me?
All our heavier goods are sent directly via the manufacturer, the lighter ones are despatched by Royal Mail. Standard delivery is free of charge on all orders.
Where do you deliver to?
We regret we can only accept orders by the card holder at a UK mainland address, and we cannot deliver to PO box addresses. If you would like to place an order for delivery outside the UK mainland, please call our Sales Department on +44(0)1484 340800.
I have a problem with my order, who do I contact?
In the unlikely event that you have a problem with your order please contact us or call the Sales Department on +44(0)1484 340800 or e-mail sales@brewfitt.com.
General product information
Catering cabinets
Kitchens can get very hot, and this can damage cabinets. Please ensure that the cabinet you choose has a sufficiently high ambient working temperature. In addition, minimise door openings and the length of time the door remains open. If in doubt over door openings, please choose a higher ambient class cabinet.
Catering cabinets with their refrigeration systems at the top are vulnerable to grease and dust build- ups. In these environments the condensers should be cleaned regularly (at least once a month) otherwise, overheating will occur. Overheating will cause a loss of temperature control, components to fail and the cabinet to be unreliable in the future. Avoid pushing catering cabinets with castors over bumps or small steps. A sideways force on castors will damage them.
Multidecks
Multidecks are very sensitive to ambient conditions; not only temperatures but also airflow. Do not place multidecks in a draught as they will have their cold air blown out, causing the cabinet to lose temperature control and ice up. In summer, do not leave shop doors open; this will cause draughts.
Keep ambient temperatures as low as possible. Most multidecks (from any supplier) are only guaranteed to work at ambient temperatures of 25°C. Temperatures above this will cause internal temperatures to rise.
Multidecks consume a lot of electrical power. Ensure the mains supply is capable of supplying this and the very short term surge demands which occur when the compressor starts. These surges can be two or three times the normal running current. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician. Preferably provide a separate power supply to a multideck with its own isolator. Any circuit breakers should be of type 3, specifically to handle the high surge currents from the compressor motors.
Multidecks are prone to picking up dust and debris from the floor. Regular cleaning of the condenser is necessary or the cabinet will be damaged. For ease of connection to a mains supply some multidecks have two 13A plugs. These two plugs must not be connected together by use of an extension cable, adaptor or single spur. The plugs must be connected to their own socket onto a ring main of at least 30A capacity or to separate circuits. Do not connect to a ring main which already has equipment placing significant loads on it. When the cabinet is not in use (e.g. at night), always use the night blind as this will save energy and reduce the wear on the cabinet.
